Alida 55-meter Heesen sold by The New Yachts Company, as seen on Yachting Magazine

Heesen Yachts revealed in Palm Beach that the Dutch shipyard has sold its 55-meter (180 foot) superyacht Project Alida.

The steel-hulled yacht is a part of the builder’s Fast Displacement line.

Having collaborated with The New Yachts Company, Heesen found Project Alida a home with an experienced yachtsman.

Naval architect, Van Oossanen, teamed up with Heesen for the project. Her exterior designer, Omega Architects, focused on linking her indoor and outdoor space, creating the connection through glass inserts in the bulwarks and floor-to-ceiling windows in the skylounge. Project Alida’s interior design is from Radyca, based in Miami.

Materials and colors used will reportedly include open-grain white oak, varying tones of wengé wood, taupe and grey leathers, wool carpeting and light suedes. In addition, surfaces will include white Arabescato and Grecale brown marble.

This superyacht has a steel hull and an aluminum superstructure. Tenders can be kept on the foredeck and a beach deck is aft lets owners and guests enjoy the water.

Quick Specs: Project Alida has a 180-foot, 5-inch LOA and a 31-foot, 6-inch beam. The builder reports a maximum speed of 16 knots and a range of 4,500 nautical miles at 13 knots. Power comes from twin MTU 8V 4000 M63 diesels.

Accommodations:** This yacht accommodates 12 guests in a full-beam owner’s stateroom, a VIP stateroom, and four guest staterooms. She also accommodates 14 crew.
